Education

Thank you to Matt and Adam, participants in "afterschoocareprograms.com" in El Paso County, Colorado, for finding the next three interesting and informative links to various educational websites.

www.getty.edu/art/collection/video/134942/photography:-the-wet-collodion-process/

Invented in 1851, the wet collodion photographic process produced a glass negative and a beautifully detailed print. Preferred for the quality of the prints and the ease with which they could be reproduced, the new method thrived from the 1850s until about 1880.

Volunteer Opportunities

For our camera club members who have time and would like to help various causes that benefit others.

www.cancer.org

. . . On Saturday October 11th at Lake Nokomis, we will be holding our annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Twin Cities. Making Strides is a non-competitive 3-mile walk hosted by the American Cancer Society to raise dollars for the programs and services we provide to the breast cancer community and to celebrate the survivors in our lives. We are always looking for interested volunteers to help capture our great day in picture. . . . We would happily allow any volunteer photographer to watermark photos that we share on our facebook page. Thank you so much for your time!
